Lodges on George has been approved by' the Australian Government to provide Extra Services. Platinum Extra Services offer residents a higher standard of accommodation, services, food and recreational opportunities. This service adds yet another element of choice for those entering Lodges on George.
Extra Services homes are high and low level care homes that provide an extensive range and choice of personalised services that cater to the individual needs of residents. Extra Service involves the provision of additional 'hotel' type services or lifestyle extras, including higher standards of accommodation and increased entertainment and food choices. However, aged care homes are only approved to offer Extra Service if their level of provision of these extras is significantly higher than average.
Extra Service offers increased choice and diversity in the aged care sector by giving residents the option of making additional payments to receive additional services. Residents are required to pay an additional fee for these services and pay a bond for either high care or low care accommodation.

Our Extra Services lounge, dining and living areas are warm, welcoming and elegantly furnished. Courtyards and landscaped gardens enable residents to enjoy fresh air and pleasant views. Extra Service rooms are private and spacious, overlooking a garden or courtyard. They include an ensuite, reverse cycle air conditioning, flat screen television, telephone, foxtel and computer connection. The furnishings, fixtures and fittings are all of a superior quality. Picture rails are provided to enable the display of family photos and favourite paintings or prints.
Superb Catering
Fine dining is enjoyed in our elegant dining room overlooking the external courtyards. A full catering, wine and beverage service commensurate with the standard offered at major hotels is provided by our qualified and experienced chefs. Residents are offered tantalizing menu options based on their preferences and special dietary requirements. We offer three meals a day plus morning and afternoon tea. Extra fruit, tea, coffee and light snacks are also available to residents and their guests.

Our in house laundry personnel provide a personal laundry service five days a week (Monday to Friday). A dry cleaning service is available as required.
